Glas Vapor | Basix Series – Fizzy Lemonade

Our Rating

Icy cold menthol notes and a freshly squeezed lemonade mixed together perfectly. Fruity undertones and a fizzy additive make for a very interesting mouth feel. Perfect vape for the beautiful summertime weather!

I always request 0mg bottles to test. Glas Vapor was nice enough to send me a double batch of their basix line (one in 0 and one in 3mg, to giveaway etc., or do with it as I pleased). Well, needless to say, I should’ve separated the two nic levels further apart, because I accidentally grabbed a 3mg bottle for this review.

It’s citrus-y, it’s fizzy and it’s icy cold menthol! Delight in this sweet and refreshing sparkling lemonade poured over lemon-lime shaved ice with a cool, carbonated twist.

I absolutely dig the branding of the new Basix series from Glas Vapor. The font choice and color palate of the labels was done in good taste, and screams professionalism. I never found myself struggling to find the information I wanted, all “tid-bits” were clearly marked and easy to find. The Chubby Gorilla style bottles made for a clean dripping experience, and never gave me leaking issues.

Freshly squeezed lemonade right off the bat, very light minty notes on the back end.

Front: My palate was immediately hit with intense icy menthol. There’s a good bit a freshly squeezed lemon juice and lemon peel thrown into the mix here as well. A fruity undertone rounds everything off nicely.

Mid: Lemon flavor transforms into a lemonade with some extra tartness and sweetness. Icy characteristic intensifies (it’s menthol, and there’s no doubt about it…). Tropical fruit undertone is brought forward, but was somewhat muted by the menthol.

Back: Very icy finish. Some tartness noted here as well that seems to be associated with the “fizz”. It’s tough to describe the bubbly mouthfeel, so I’ll revert to a simple comparison instead:

The fizz here is not quite at the soda intensity level, but more of a toned down carbonated water.

Aftertaste: Perfectly clean, not a reminisce of anything on the palate for me.

I’d really like to see a Max VG version of the basix line from Glas Vapor!

Throat Hit: Decent – strong for me. 9/10 (keep in mind that I normally vape 0mg)

[su_heading size=”15″ class=”subHeading”]Final Thoughts[/su_heading]

Very good flavor, just not for me. I felt like the fruit and fizzy lemonade characteristics were somewhat overpowered by the icy menthol. Very easy to vape, but not something I’d go out of my way to find. I will be trying this liquid in a 0mg version shortly.
