Orange plays with a bit of pineapple in this coconut laced tropical vape. If you’re looking to take a break from your typical fruit flavor, Castaway from Vaper Empire is definitely worth checking out.

Castaway is as exotic as it sounds with its festival of tropical flavors. This tantalizing combination will sweep you off to a place you’d rather be when the summery blend of Pineapple, Grapefruit & Coconut roll across your senses. Give your taste-buds a delicious holiday.

There’s only two primary colors on this label – gold and black – this offers a good bit of contrast and makes everything really easy to read. The font used for the ejuice name is a bit lackluster, but I’m not complaining. I received a 10ml bottle for this review in 0mg.

Hints of what seems to be orange and pineapple, and maybe a touch of lime or lemon for freshness. Castaway doesn’t smell like a overly tropical, maybe the vape will change that though.

Front: This has to be one of the weirdest flavors I’ve vaped in a long time, not in a bad way though. There’s definitely some orange and pineapple, and subtle notes of lime in the foreground. But I had a hard time picking up on any other flavors beyond the above. It leans on the tropical side of the fruit spectrum, but as far as the individual flavors making the mix, I couldn’t really say. Combined with the fruit flavor is a pungent note that I can’t really put my finger on either. It could be a milk, or a cream, I’m really not sure.
Mid: After vaping this one for awhile, The orange and pineapple increase in intensity enough for me to say they’re definitely there. And as for that pungent cheese-y type flavor that I noted in the beginning, it’s 100% a coconut; not a sweetened coconut flake, but more of a unsweetened coconut with a big of unsweetened coconut milk thrown on top. The sugar level is rather low in Castaway, but this is one of the few time where I think a bit of extra sweetener may have helped the flavor overall.
Back: Now that I know what’s causing that pungent flavor, I don’t feel as lost. Castaway actually finishes strong with the same tropical fruit flavors and a milky unsweetened coconut on the backend.
Aftertaste: I thought for sure the coconut would cause some issues with the aftertaste, but it did nothing of the sort. No lingering, and a very clean finish.

ADV? This was a tough one for me to answer. It’s not like I dislike Castaway, but it’s just not my cup of tea.
Recommendable? Yes. Even though the coconut flavor needs a bit of work, everything else is right on point. The tropical mix of fruits are balanced very nicely, not to tart, and not overly sweet!
